On to Warner
Center...
|

"Uncle Sam Duck" starts his
journey through the Division
|

Lt. Governor Lucy starts the Duck on
its way by
passing it to the Warner Center Club
|
On to Calabasas-Agoura Hills...
|

Howard delivers a "mysterious" package
|

President Alan receives the " mysterious"
package
from the Warner Center Club...
|

... and 10 minutes later, has the top off!
|

Alan finally locates, and liberates, "the
Duck"
|

Howard poses with Alan and "the
Duck"
|
|
On to Chatsworth... |

Dr. Livingston delivers "the
Duck" to Chatsworth
|

President Judy begins unwrapping the
"present" as Nick Montano looks on. |

At last "the
Duck" is set free! |

What's this? "The
Duck" has changed clothes! |

Hey! Let go of that duck!
A clear case of "duck abuse"! |

Members of the Chatsworth Club enjoy the
show and thank Van Nuys for "the Duck" |

(from left) Rudy Beem, Lt. Gov. Lucy,
and Mike Hastings
|
| On to
Northridge... |

President Ron receives a
"package"
from members of the Tarzana-Encino Club |

Elvis returns! The new
"Elvis-Duck"
graces the Northridge Club! |

You Ain't Nothin' But A Hound-Duck!
|
| On to Woodland
Hills... |

To the strains of TAPS, the members of
the Kiwanis
Club of Northridge present the draped casket
|

The inscription reads...
"At being asked to become our Division 25
Lieutenant Governor, Lucy has said
"I'll take a shot in the dark at it"
We heard "Shoot at the duck"
So we did!
And this from Woodland Hills
Club
President Raymond Dyne:
They
came to us from Northridge
It was to be our luck
That to the mournful notes of “Taps”
They passed us a dead duck.
All
our efforts to revive this soul
Were, alas, to no avail.
We’ve consulted all the quacks we know
But still cannot prevail.
The
struggle will continue
And we will make our mark
When, in just about a month
We visit Canoga Park.
|
|
On to Canoga Park... |

The
Duck has been exhumed;
but found to have "passed on".
|

President
Raymond "passes on" the
duck to President Sandy.
|

The
duck meets its long-time
friend from last year's Pig Roast.
|

God
bless and God speed little duck...
|

Again, from Woodland Hills
Club
President Raymond Dyne:
The duck came dead
from Northridge
It was supposed to be alive.
We did everything we could
Still the duck did not revive.
We tried to find the
cause of death.
We thought it rather shoddy
That we had to get a judge’s order
To exhume the creature’s body.
Sadly though, all we
found
Though Northridge we had trusted
Were the duck’s bodily remains
In a coffin rusted.
Alas, alack, the
duck has gone
Where heaven is the host.
There it joined a portly friend
From our last Pig Roast.
The duck is now an
angel
In peace it ought to rest
Take care of it, Canoga Park.
We know you’ll do your best.
|
|
On to Division 25... |

What's this? Is it possible?
The duck is re-born!
|

Emerging from it's egg, we find our old
friend the Division Mascot...
|

...complete with "ducky
diapers"!
|

Ain't she cute?
|

And complete with a Birth Certificate!
|
|
Back to Woodland Hills... |

President Alan passes a "sitting
duck"
back to President Raymond |
|
Back to Division 25... |

Apparently our duck has found a lady
duck...
|

...which produced some baby chicks. But,
where has the Mom-duck gone?
|
President Raymond
penned the following poem, which he read at the Division 25
"Pass The Torch" Luncheon:
We received from Alan and his crew
A lonely Sitting Duck
“What should we do?” we asked ourselves
“We do seem kinda stuck”.
“Perhaps we could find a lady
for our feathered friend”,
A crafty member thought,
“To his needs to tend”.
Thereupon there did appear
From whence we do not know
A lady duck of breeding bereft
To keep our duck in tow.
Their affair was brief and lusty;
They fooled around for kicks
Until they suddenly discovered
They were having little chicks.
The lady did not hang around.
She took herself away,
Leaving alone our noble duck
To care for chicks each day.
We’re very glad that we can say
Duck and chicks are still alive.
So it is we hand them to
Division 25. |
