Telesis honors courageous people
CHATSWORTH, Calif. (10/19/04)--In partnership with the Los Angeles County District Attorney's
office, Telesis Community CU helped honor four courageous citizens.
Richard Cooper, vice president, government and community relations, credited District Attorney Steve Cooley with helping to reduce crime in
the Los Angeles area. "Telesis Community CU is proud to honor those who have helped come to the
rescue of fellow citizens and who have helped the DA's office prosecute those who perpetrated
violent crimes in our area," he added.
The Courageous Citizens Award goes to those who have come to the aid of a victim, helped capture a suspect, helped prevent a crime from taking
place, testified despite unusual pressure and acted selflessly.
This year's winners were Heather and Tim Westermore, Frank Miceli and John
Bugaric.
The $480 million asset credit union sponsored the luncheon along with the
Kiwanis Club of Northridge, Calif., and the district attorney's office. |
